From Healing to Helping: Services to Support Your Wellness

Offering Support for Chronic Illness, Burnout, and Everyday Wellness.

Plus, simple ways you can support this mission at no cost!

If you missed my last post, I experienced a series of unfortunate events that led to A LOT of change. It led me to quit my dream job, uproot my life, and start fresh, while healing my body and mind. Check out that story here.

Today, I’ll explain how that journey led me to create the services I provide now. These services include resources and support for chronic illness. They also help with burnout or other health struggles. I also discuss ways you can help support my mission with no cost.

The One Where Chronic Illness Turns into a Mission to Help

First, why exactly am I telling my story?  I hear stories so often from friends, family, and even strangers of similar experiences related to feeling invalidated by medical professionals or dealing with a mysterious illness. Stories from people who receive very little support for chronic illness, who have no one to advocate for them. They just feel lost or frustrated and do not know where to turn.

My mission is to have a free space to create community. A place where people can seek knowledge and connect with others. It is frustrating when everything is behind a paywall. And although some of my services are paid services, I have tried to have as much as I can free or low-cost to make it the most accessible.  And my ultimate goal: I would love to donate my time completely.

However, with this being my main source of income, I cannot offer everything free right now. (Yay to chronic illness and the US for making it super difficult to work a full-time job while staying healthy. Hence, why I am trying to build a business that supports me while not feeding into extreme corporate greed.) If you check out the sections below, the more money I can make from things like affiliate income, social media, etc (aka. being paid by corporations vs. everyday people), the more time and energy it frees up for me to continue to give and expand what I can offer at no cost.

I will start with the ways I can support you if you are looking for that (both free and paid services). I don’t want people to go through everything I had to go through to get to where I am. So, I want to make sure I can make the most knowledge and resources easily accessible. Then we will move into how you can support my mission if you feel called to do so!

Services and Support for Chronic Illness, Burnout, and Everyday Wellness

First, thank you for taking the time to read my story (I know it is a long one). It really means a lot. My goal now is to support you and others who may relate. If any part of my journey resonates, you will find some ways below that I can help. If you are not seeking support or resources right now, there are still ways to support my mission. Feel free to check out that section below to learn how at no cost to you!

My Blog

To start, my Year of Wellness Series goes over the basics of wellness.  Going forward, my focus will be on burnout, chronic illness, hormonal wellness, and similar topics. I am also happy to elaborate on another area of wellness if you are interested.  I am a fan of deep dives and providing research and resources. Feel free to reach out with your suggestions. I took a break from posting the first half of the year, but you should see more from me soon!

Socials

I have been slacking here a bit. This is due to the time I took off for my Board Certification. I have also been focusing a little more on my health. However, I plan to post more frequently again. I post on Pinterest multiple times daily related to blog articles, resources, infographics I make or find useful, inspirational quotes, journal prompts, my recommended wellness products, and similar content.  My Instagram and TikTok are about my personal journey while offering inspiration, support, and resources. And soon, I will begin to post longer-form content on YouTube.  This content is for you, so let me know what type of content you want to see the most of.

Resources

My website includes a resource page of books that are currently my top choices in each area of wellness.  I read A LOT (100+ books a year), so I am always updating this and happy to check out any book you suggest or want to know more about.  There are also resources in the footnotes of each of my blog articles. They are typically hyperlinked in my blogs to the resources if you want to learn more about a specific fact or topic.

I create digital content as well. Which, I am happy to share, and will be making a spot on my website in the near future to have them. PS. If you are looking for a template or resource that you cannot find anywhere, let me know. I am happy to make something up. I love creating!

Free call

Reach out to book a free call.  We can chat about any questions you have, where to start, what resources might help, if any of my consulting or coaching services may be right for you, or if I can refer you anywhere else.  I want you to find the answers you are looking for, and I want to be your biggest cheerleader. (The free call link will take you to my external coaching page. Just select ‘book a free call’. I have everything streamlined to avoid double bookings. You can also message me there or in the contact me section here.)

Consulting

For as long as I can remember, I have been the go-to for friends, family, colleagues, and even acquaintances when it comes to anything wellness or anything that needs a deep dive. Helping provide advocacy and assistance, I have aided people in finding the best health care team or support they were looking for. I have even made phone calls and drafted emails. Deep dives on products and providing the best options is a favorite of mine. I have organized medical binders to help track symptoms and aid in medical appointments. I also helped brainstorm meal ideas, among others.

There is a fee for many of these services due to the time commitment, but reach out to me and let me know what you need. We can discuss what that can look like. I am working on updating my services, so if it is not linked below, fill out this form. Let me know what you are looking for, and we can discuss the options and pricing.

Some of these services include:

Coaching

As a Board-Certified Coach, I offer science-backed coaching for anything related to wellness.  I focus on burnout, hormonal wellness, and chronic illness. Additionally, I can help with anything from financial wellness to creative blocks.  My education and personal and professional experiences range from Psychology and Mental Health to Finance to Physical Health and Wellness.  Not sure if I can help? Check out this page for additional details and FAQ about coaching. Still not sure? Book a free call. If I am not the right fit, I have a large network I can refer to.

Supporting My Mission to Help Others

If you are not seeking support from me at this time and/or you feel called to help me reach others and continue this work, there are a few things that help tremendously with no money and little effort.

Blog/Website

Reading my blogs helps me to know there is interest in the topics I am writing about.  It also helps Google know that, and can help me rank better to reach more people.  Comments, likes, and shares are a bonus!  I currently don’t make any money off my website itself (besides affiliate income, which I will discuss below). This is literally just to get knowledge, resources, and options for services to you all.

I do have an option to include ads for more revenue. I prefer not to do this. We all know ads can be super annoying. I am hoping for income in other ways, so this will not be necessary. But, traffic and engagement are important for that, if I need to go that route.

Socials

Liking, commenting, or sharing my content helps the algorithm push my content to more people who could benefit from it.  A follow goes a long way as well.  The creator programs on all social media platforms are typically follower and/or view/engagement-based.  So, the more people I can reach, the more people I can connect with and help. It increases the chances of joining monetization programs. The best part is I can make money from the companies, instead of the viewers.

More followers and engagement are also needed for many affiliate programs and brand deals.  Ps. I would never promote something I didn’t 1000% believe fully in. It is just a way to again make money from companies v. my viewers and supporters of my content.

Affiliate Sales

Most products that I recommend that have been linked in my blogs are affiliate links. (I have disclosures at the top of my articles about this.)  If you click on the link, I can earn a percentage of whatever you purchase.  This is true even if you do not purchase the product I am writing about.

So, let’s say you click on a link for the headphones I recommend.  But, you decide to purchase a laptop you have been wanting instead of the headphones.  I will still receive affiliate income from that.  It is generally pennies to the dollar for me, but that adds up.  The best part is, it costs you no extra money to do that. It’s just what you were already going to spend to purchase what you wanted. It is just another way for me to make money from a corporation, instead of you.

Feedback

Let me know what you like, don’t like, want to see more of, and enjoy the most.  I want to provide content that people are finding value in.  The whole goal of this is for me to help be a resource to you. I want to make wellness easier and more accessible, and to make sure your voice is heard.  I love to hear from you all!

Sharing

Sharing my content with someone who might resonate with it also goes a long way.  I have had people reach out to me because one of you mentioned what I do! That is such a beautiful thing.  I do not regret the journey I went through because it has given me this gift.  However, if I had found someone a decade ago who was sharing the content I am sharing now, it would have helped me to find answers and get the help I needed so much sooner.

There are so many people out there that are providing incorrect or even dangerous information on the internet just to jump on the latest trend, or to make a quick dollar. My goal is to do the opposite of that.  I want to help people find the right information for them, make lasting changes, and do good for their bodies.

Final Thoughts

Well, that was a lot, again!  (I promise most of my articles going forward will not be this aggressive in length.) Thank you again for taking the time to invest in me and yourself.  You are the real MVP! To thank you for your time and support, I am offering you $50 towards your first coaching or consulting service.  When you reach out, just note the discount and the word BALANCE. When we determine what service is best for you, I will credit $50 towards that.

Have a beautiful rest of your day. I look forward to hearing from you!
